St Augustine Florida is the epitome of historical charm tucked in a quaint city filled with so much history. As a Photographer who loves the East Coast and all things southern charm, this city photographed beautifully on 35mm film. My favorite way to capture travel is bringing alongside a small film camera to take images of the new places I get to explore. From the architecture, boats in the harbor, and towering historic buildings, St Augustine combined beauty + Florida magic so perfectly.

I visited alongside my family on and we started off exploring the Castillo De San Marcos National Monument. There's a quiet beauty to monuments when you know there were lives lost here and yet such passionate people fighting for what they believed in. Full of beauty, stories,  we saw beautiful views of the harbor and the boats that passed. After, we ventured on to St. George Street where you'll find just about anything and everything. From bright colored buildings, to florals and more, the streets were filled with other tourists discovering alongside us.

After seeing the town we ran into a bit of a downpour so we found some shelter in the absolutely stunning Flagler College building. The architecture this building had was unlike any I had ever seen. I got major tower of terror vibes if you know you know. Right across included the Lightner Museum which hosts beautiful wedding days.

I love the way that the 35mm film captured the vast color that you see in St Augustine. As a film and digital photographer I am always looking at the light and how the color is naturally reflecting off the shapes and shadows I see around me. St Augustine had so much variety to work with, it was beautiful to photograph.
